These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChopYum mobile application (the "App"), provided by Pixel App ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using ChopYum, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. 👤 Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create a ChopYum account and use the App.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
- You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings.
2. 📱 License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use ChopYum on a device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App;
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems;
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the App.
3. ✍️ Your Content & Conduct
ChopYum lets you save recipes, build meal plans and grocery lists, write reviews, and post to the Community section, including text, photos, and comments ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it within the App as necessary to operate the service.
You agree not to post User Content that:
- Is unlawful, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or infringes another person's rights;
- Contains spam, malware, or misleading information;
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone.
We reserve the right to remove any User Content or restrict access to the Community features at our discretion, without prior notice.
4. ⭐ Subscriptions, Billing & Free Trials
- ChopYum offers an optional "ChopYum Premium" subscription that removes ads and may unlock additional features.
- Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play Billing, and are subject to Google Play's own terms of sale.
- Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, subscriptions automatically renew at the price and duration you selected at purchase.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.
- Where offered, free trials convert to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policies; we do not directly process payments or refunds.
5. 📺 Advertising
Free-tier use of ChopYum is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. By using the free version of the App, you agree to be shown ads. Upgrading to ChopYum Premium removes ads from the App.
6. © Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, graphics, and underlying software (excluding User Content), is owned by Pixel App and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding, logos, or trademarks without prior written permission.
7. 🍴 Health & Recipe Disclaimer
Recipes, nutrition information, and health insights provided in ChopYum are for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Always check ingredients against your own allergies or dietary restrictions, and consult a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes. We are not responsible for any adverse outcome resulting from recipes or information provided in the App.
8. 🚫 Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion, with or without notice. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
9. ⚠️ Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pixel App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App.
10. 🔄 Changes to the App or Terms
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
11. ⚖️ Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.
